Toying with the idea of moving on from motorcycling for a bit (not totally decided yet) but was wondering how much the blade would be worth.

    Specs:
2007 (07) in black and silver
12,500 miles (MOT and TAX till June 2013)
    extras:
Full Akra Ti race system with carbon end can
    Power Commander with custom map
    Dymag 7 spoke wheels
    Carbon rear hugger
    Black chrome screen
    digi gear indicator
heated grips (retaining original honda grips)
    Hel braided hoses
    Pirelli Rosso Corsa tyres

    Bad Bits:
Leant bike over in garage (side stand flipped up - dohhh!) Scratch on lest side engine casing - not that noticeable.
Few scratches marks - but again not that noticable. It is 5 years old after all and how many 5 year olds do you know without the odd cut or graze!

That's about it really. Could return bike back to almost stock, but would prefer to sell together (if i do!)

    Cheers

The spec and milage is almost exactly the same as mine, I'd hope to get £4500 for mine with me keeping the Dymags.

They go for 4,000 up to around 6,500 for a MINT one, wheels worth prob 800 if good and the Akrapovic if mint another 800! They don't make the Akrapovic anymore and they sell VERY quick. I saw a Repsol go a few months back in Poor condition for 4,500.

Take the quality bits off and sell them, and keep some of the other bits and bobs on (makes it a bit more desirable). Then i think the price is spot on, but if it were me i would always get any crash damage fixed, having £800 wheels and an £800 exhaust system but not being bothered to spend a few hundred on fixing an unsighlty scrape does not look good.

Thanks for the responses. Agree with taking the bits off - did that on my 600rr, and didn't detract from the value at all. Was hoping for £5k plus so will have to think hard about letting her go now. Just need to get my biking mojo back i guess - butt then again i just need to get the mojo back!

If you don't need the money keep it, even all these new bikes have nothing more to offer in the real world... If the roads get much worse round me I'm chucking my number plate in the bin cancel the insurance and taking up trackdays... :)

What the deal then mate you not feeling it any more? Tell you what this year sucks for me in regards to sports bikes....I've been on my retro all this year as traffic, rain, pot holes, gravel and all the other tosh it just seems pointless...

Im in the "sell the parts seperately" camp as a modified bike is more appealing, but tends not to fetch much more than a standard one.

If you absolutley have to sell the bike then you are more likely to make more money flogging the parts and bike seperately. I did exactly that with my old ZX6R, i stuck all the parts on Ebay and made half as much on the parts compared to what i sold the bike for. I would never have got near that leaving the parts on the bike. You'll even find that most people are prepared to p/x the parts to trade up.
