2008-2009 Recalls and updates

    Sry if this is posted elsewhere... I did search.

    My Blade has not been serviced by Honda since early 2009, other than an oil change by a local garage.

    Getting it in for it's 4K service in Spring, but just wondered if there's any updates or recalls on this model... I'll make sure they get done.

    Came back as 'Nothing outstanding'

    Surprised they hadn't changed the ECU mapping, but I guess it's a good thing... they got everything right first time. ;)

    Dec, where you thinking of getting the service done? gotta get my 12,000 mile service (2012 model :eek:) early next year.

    There was a clutch recall on 2008 RR's.
    DEC what ECU remapping are you reffering to?

    Mines 2009, so I guess this year didn't have the issue.

    I believe my brothers KTM RC8 had a fueling re-map/update on his ECU. I just thought this was a typical thing with high performance bikes.

    Some of the C-ABS 'Blades have had ECU replaced due to the much documented ABS issues, but these have been done by dealer under warranty rather than an official recall (much to many owner's annoyance!).
