2008 fireblade Oil found all over rear of bike

    I just recently bought a fire blade just had it mot and went for a run for about hour nice and slow got to my local town bike was running about 104c and i saw a puff of smoked as continued forward nothing i pulled and it looked like oil all over my undertail of bike what could this be ? Big issue?

    Without sounding like a smart ass, it could be anything.

    Best way to resolve this is to clean the rear of the bike free of oil and then take it for a 5-minute ride. Stop, and check all over as much as you can see of rear of motor for where a leak or breather hose is spewing it out.

    But be bloody careful. Last thing you want is oil on the rear tyre checking for where its leaking

    I road home bike stayed under 100c was about 80c its a 10 min ride and no oil anywhere

    104 running temperature seems high, are you sure it was oil and not coolant over the rear of the bike?

    I was in slow moving traffic it was brown cplour and smelled like oil and the coolant level hasnt gone down at all unless it was over filled

    Have you checked the oil level?
    Double check the sump plug and around the filter as a minimum precaution
