Hi All, looking for advice. Purchased a 2008 CBR1000 recently and it has a whine when coming off throttle. Whine only occurs when off throttle. No sound on acceleration or idle.

Bike came with a Domino QA throttle and has had a sportier rear sprocket fitted (was a track bike).

Sound (I think) is coming from front so don’t think it’s engine related. Bike pulls really well. Had it up on paddock stands and spun wheels and no sound or whine no not bearing or wheel related.

Google’d issue and people have said could be slack chain but that looks ok.

Any ideas / advice for me to look into? Could it be related to QA throttle fitment? I’ve had 2008 model before and don’t recall this issue.

Worn bearings or overloaded ones can whine.
    Is the chain too tight?

is the whine when decelerating in any specific gear? Could be worn gear.
There was an issue with crankshaft whine, you can do a search

    Manual camchain tensioner too tight?
Hope it's not the crank gear going bad.
