I know a guy who is selling a 2009 red blade. It's tapping like buggery and its lost power.

Is it worth buying and fixing?
It's done 14,000 miles and in pretty good condition.

    £3500 he wants

Depends on how much u can get a new engine for.

I know Wedgie on here is splitting a bike just now that he just got in.

Worth pinging him a pm to see what price that is and making a decision from there.

I'll see if I can find his thread.

If Wedgie doesn't have the engine anymore. You could also try Yorkshiregooner.

Cheers Colin. I've text Wedgie about the engine and he's waiting for a payment.

Just to serve as a comparison mate to help in your thinking process: I've recently bought a 2008 blade, it has under 4000 miles full history and MOT's etc, had a slide and grazed all fairings and engine cases, broken clip on, pegs etc... but all superficial and cosmetic. I got it for £4000. I'm using it as the base for my track bike.

Depends what you want it for though pal... if you wanted to track it, you could sell all the fairings and other standard gear to help fund an engine rebuild and track fairings etc. If it were simply to repair and use on road / sell on maybe it isn't worth the fuss / effort etc. But that's my opinion mate.
