Hi Guys & Girls, I am in the process of removing the Taylor Made exhaust on my Bike prior to selling it, and I am having a bit of a problem re-fitting the standard exhaust. The Taylor made exhaust was fitted to the bike when I bought it, but the bike came with the standard exhaust. I have removed the Taylor system and re-fitted the standard one, I have re-fitted the cable to the Servo under the seat. The standard exhaust came with the Lambda o2 sensor fitted to it, with the 4 pin electrical connector. I don't know where this connector goes. It has a long wire fitted to it and from a bit of research it sounds like it fits somewhere on the left hand side behind the fairing (about where your knee is when riding. Will I need to remove the left fairing to find it ? The Taylor made system didn't have a Lambda sensor fitted to it, so will some sort of o2 eliminator have been fitted to the engine in place of the standard sensor wiring? Any help or advice will be great Thanks Daz
It would be worth downloading the workshop manual and having a look - should be in there http://1000rr.co.uk/maintenance/119.htm
Around the left knee area under behind the fairings. Can be done without removing if u have long fingers and a decent light
You shouldnt struggle too much if you dont remove the l/h pannel. Its quite easy yo find once you get in there
