I've got the dreaded wing mirror flappage, the consequence of having to fold them in when I store the bike every time I use it. The wind resistance is enough to move the mirrors once I get above about 50mph

Is there a cost effective fix for this?? I'm sure it must be a common problem for a lot of Fireblade owners

    Cheers

Never had that happen. In fact sometimes I think I'm going to wrench them off when folding them in. Maybe something needs tightening? As you can tell I'm no mechanic...o_O

There are a few solution, check out this thread:

one of the causes is the spring washers seizing up causing the flanges to take the strain and deform, so once you have fixed keep em lubed.
Also just a note aftermarket mirrors are very variable in quality, most will be badly build some dont even fold!, the indicators sometimes dont blink correctly. Better off getting a set of OEM, buy cheap buy twice as they say!
