Hi Guys, lookong for new tyres for my blade, only do fast ish road riding, so want something with plenty of grip and reasonable mileage, looked at pirelli diablo corsa rosso and bridgestone bt016 pro, any one running these or any other suggestions would be appreciated Thanks
first plenty of info on all tyres here http://1000rr.co.uk/mods-upgrades-accessories-products/309.htm As for the BT016 stay away. i had them on my Triple. 2k from the rear adn 2.5k from the front. Unsure on the new BT016's they just brought out. I was a bridgestone man unil I went to 2CT's and they gave better grip, more lift and just a better tyre. Hearing many good things about these Dunlop Motorcycle - Tyres Sportmax Sportsmart from just about everyone
Have a look at this clip should help you understand the different tyres brands etc posted by 1000RR in the other tyre post Dunlop Sportsmart are getting good reviews can handle the odd trackday and gie good mileage for a sports tyre worth considering. Also alot of people go up to a 55 profile from 50 on the rear to help turn in.
Yep I binned my 50 for a 55 after 400 miles. The OE dunlops were turd anyway. 55 makes much quicker steering and more side grip.
I'm running Michelin Pilot Power 2CT and am pretty happy with them, although I'll probably try Pures or Dunlop Sportsmarts nect I think.
I wouldnt bother with Pure's They dont turn as fast. Alot of boys going back to 2CT's because of this. I have found them exellent for the last 3 years both on road and track
