Had to think long and hard before posting this. Can't justify adding 100 miles a day to this wonderful bike so I'm going to sell it to fund two bikes, an Adventure bike for commuting and a cheaper Supersport bike for weekend blats. The bike belonged to Villan on here so it would be nice if it does sell for it to remain within the site community. 2010 HRC Blade registered on a 61 plate. 4300 miles. Service history. Dunlop SportSmart tyres (rear about 1/3 worn, front will last two rears). Extras: Yoshi R-77 SS exhaust. PCV with custom map. HM quickshifter. Brembo RCS radial MC. Braided hoses front & rear. Honda E Cushion seat. Genuine Honda Seat Cowl. Genuine Honda rear hugger. GI Pro gear indicator. Genuine Honda tall screen. R&G Tail tidy. Extras are worth about £2400 if you bought them all new. I want to sell the bike as a complete package. The extras will make £1500 all day long used so therefore asking price is £7995 Ono. This makes the standard bike £6495 if you take into account the used value of the extras which is a bargain for this bike. All standard bits are included. I will not remove any of the extras to sell seperately. If the bike doesn't sell as a complete package I'll keep it. If I sell/trade the bike as standard then the bits will go up for sale. Please don't ask in the meantime for bits. I may well consider a 600cc sports bike as a part ex.
In all honesty, if it doesn't sell, I won't be too upset but I just can't justify using it for 100 mundane dual carriageway miles every day. It deserves better than that. If I can sell it to a worthwhile home and get something like a KTM Adventure and a CBR6RR to join the EXCR 530 in the garage then that's the ideal solution. If not and she stays, I'll have a brilliant bike and a car commute to make.....
End can and de-cat mid pipe with baffle if required. I've heard the Honda headers are fine for power. With the custom map on the PCV its as smooth as a baby's bum! You interested Callum?
No mate, I got my own 2010 black 'n gold scare machine complete with Akra and PVC Just useful for anyone browsing to know the details
You could always do what I did and keep the blade and get a cheap second runner for the commute, mines a BMW F650GS 2000 plate Easy to work on too so if your handy with a set of spanner you can do your own servicing on it.
Price drop. Its only advertised at this price on this forum, no offers - if it doesn't sell in the next few weeks I'll probably keep it whilst we go through the depressing moving house motions.
Thought it might be worth mentioning Arthurbikemad (I'm pretty certain Villan said Arthur did it) has recently serviced this. Checking the oil after 500 miles since I got it from Villan it has not used a drop. Colwyn Bay Motorcycles have an identical bike in stock with 2000 more miles on it, 12 months older on the reg plate and just a tail tidy fitted and they want £7950 for it without any extras.
Slight correction to this info, Arthur fitted the quickshifter, the bike was serviced by a guy called John Hensman, he works for Honda UK, training technicians, ie. If your a honda tech and go on "a how to " course, John will probably be your teacher. Good luck with the sale.
