    Hi All
New member so finding my way around :rotfl:
I have purchased and just fitted an 02 sensor eliminator kit (the one from Greece) fired the bike up and all seemed fine.....
5 minutes later after putting jacket, lid & gloves on, I go to restart the bike for test spin and something has drained the battery to useless.
I've double checked the two isolated wires (black/red and grey/black) and checked the two in the block connector (black/white and white)
I'm confused and not sure what steps to take now, could anyone suggest anything before I close my garage and go to the pub please?!
    Thanks, Martin :thumb:

dont know the kit so cant comment on that
but you need to get a multi-meter and test current
draw when the bike is turned off.if its 2ma and under
then I would start looking at the regulator unit.

oh and if you havent checked the leakage rate before what you do
is disconnect the negative on the battery then your meter goes between
the negative lead and the negative terminal on the battery

wouldn't have thought the eliminator would cause a flat bat it purely tricks the ECU to think the lamba is still there and thus not firing the FI light on the dash. Probs a combination of you starting the bike and not having a long run/ low charge on battery and cold weather. Should cure it if you put the bike on an optimate overnight

Hi slick & thank u.... Where we're u last Sunday?!!!

all thanks to the site, the sensor seller (Greek guy on eBay) and the father in law... A bit of juice in the battery, ignition, boom and big smiles! Cold weather, sat bike, pure coincidence that the battery failed prior to sensor install & test ride attempt!

Thanks guys. Looking forward to uploading some pics

Glad its all sorted, exact same thing happen when I fitted a PCV/eliminator and Leo Vince to my previous bike, panicked initially as thought I shorten something and bricked the ECU. Put the bike on charge et voila!

Sorry didn't reply earlier was having a nightmare that weekend removing/drilling the fairing to fit some crash bungs, dont want to be doing that again!
