2011 HRC blade

hi all,

I’m off to look at 2011 HRC blade on Monday. I’ve seen some photos and videos of the machine. Is there any specific things to look out for? It is an standard bike with 11k on the clock. I’m lead to believe it’s a non ABS model but how do I check this?

Any help/advice/opinions greatly received.

Look for the ABS ring on the hubs.



If it has these, it has ABS

 

I had one of these as you'll remember. It should look like this (save for exhaust). this was non-ABS.

 

And the clocks have the yellow ABS light when you turn the ignition on

 

Thanks everyone, handy stuff so far. It’s from a reputable dealer so hopefully everything is good with the bike. But daunting as not really focused on these years that much but I saw a bike and it caught my eye etc etc

 

If your not sure then just take the bike for a test ride, when you pull the brake lever in and it touches the throttle and your speedo isn't dropping, then it's an abs model.

I'm still quite happy I've had mine removed, can you tell?

Mines a 2013 and had no probs, fitted Hel lines and still no issues I would say the bike is either good or bad, If you buy from a dealer you will have comeback if it has probs

 

£5800 or there abouts. At northwest Honda Blackpool; fair bit of a trek for me in Cambridgeshire but seems a fairly good one. Totally standard so I can put my mark on it (and by mark of course I mean chain guard lol)

 

Yep, good price. Plenty more around that are dearer - as you would have found. Sold mine a fortnight ago for £5750, but it was a plus 20,000 miler.

 

I did see Nigel, I wanted it but didn’t have the funds then. To be honest I wasn’t really looking. Found a private one for sale at £5500 then the guy decided he didn’t want to sell which was fair enough. Had a quick look and this one popped up.

Northwest have sent me a few videos etc and seem like a good dealer according to their online reviews so thought it was worth the 9-10 hour round trip to view. I won’t buy blind unless it’s a new bike so have to go lol

 

Lad at work just bought a bike from Northwest Honda. Did it all remotely and was happy with them, said they did everything they promised and described the bike accurately.

 

Great news, I had the offer to do it all remotely but would rather see the bike in the flesh, I’m a bit old school like that

Looks my kind of place. Scratch the blade I’m just going to spend 6 months at Blackpool with the money instead. Best 6 months of my life I’m sure.
