Hi All I wonder if someone could help please. I've finally got round to fitting my Akrapovic system & it doesn't look like its going to fit I have the S-H10R7-TC-1 system. Honda CBR 1000 RR S-H10R7-TC Racing Line (Carbon) - Akrapovi The headers fit and look ok but when I try and put the link pipe on it doesn't want to line up. Looking at the labelling on the packaging the link pipe says 08-10 and the headers say 09-12 does anyone know if they are different? Any help would be much appreciated.. Thanks Ozz
Can't remember what bits came with mine but it was a bit of a sod to line up and fit, same system also for the 2012. Akrapovic Race System by (MrB), on Flickr You could try and get in touch with the importer Performance Parts [email protected]
Thanks Colin... From those pics it looks correct, I don't know any difference tbh, when you have it connected up and the headers cross over how far out is it, are you fitting it all loose with no springs etc? Like MrB says they tend to take some lining up but in my experience with them you can fiddle round and then they just slot into place...
The bits do look the same as mine and I can't see there would be much difference between the model years anyway. My headers touched the belly pan melting some of it due to the much larger diameter pipe work as well.
Thanks guys. I'm fitting it all lose the headers are not crossing over.. I'll pop out to the garage and take a couple more shots of the headers Be back in a mo.. Ozz

Well that 5 minutes in the garage ended up being an hour... But I'm well chuffed it was the "the headers cross over" comment that got me thinking. Mine weren't crossing over now they are and well they fit!! Thanks people, Might owe you a beer I think! You've saved me hours of swearing in the cold!! I'll post a couple of pictures tomorrow when it's finishedhttp://1000rr.co.uk/images/smilies/biggrin.gif Thanks Ozz
Thanks for the help arthurbikemad! It's getting a bit nippy out there now so I'll get back out there in the morning and finish it off.
Well I managed to get out in the garage tonight and get the zaust finished off.... Sounds awsome.... just ticking over with a few little blips. Ticks over OK so will have to see what the fuelling is like when I get out on it. Just the fiddly task of getting the fairings back on now then a good clean. Once I've got it all back together I want to make a heat shield up to finish it off.. Ozz
I'd be inclined to get the Bike fully warmed up first and treble check for exhaust leaks BEFORE you put the fairing back on? Sods law and all that!
yep I ran the bike up last night, until the fan came on. I'll do the same again and check the bolts. Therese no way I want to take the fairing off again in a hurry...
I haven't had any problems, although I have a PCV. I did an ECU reset before I ran the bike too, I think it's meant to help. Saying all that I have the noise killer in, I felt lost power without. I have a geniric map for system + filter loaded into PCV, but I'll get a map for both noise killer in and out when I get it custom mapped.
could i pester you for a picture of how your end can is mounted?? My end can was scraping the ground at full lean on track recently, i want to make sure that the previous owner has fitted it properly and make sure the spacers/washers are in the right position.
