    Right guys i seem to have found something puzzling with my new Blade. I,ll explain;

    Petrol light comes on and the readout starts counting up from 0.1 as it did on my 08 model. I do 6 or 7 miles or so and notice its already up to 0.5, i seem to recall my 08 would only show that sort of reading after 20 miles or so and be nearly dry. Anyway i find a petrol station, reading is now 0.8, thinking i must be about to run out, fills her up and it only takes 14.7 litres having covered 145miles in total.

    The manual says that its got 3.5 litres of reserve and the readout refers to the number of litres of fuel used from when the low fuel light kicks in.........so does that mean that "theoretically" i can go up to 3.4 on the readout before i run dry?.

    What readings have other 2012 owners seen on their bikes?

    If its like the older models then there is 2 settings for how it counts the reserve . Mine is set to count in smaller steps . Counts up to 3.0 then I'm dry

    Sounds like yours is set to the same.

    I wouldn't worry about it , When it says your out stop in the next station . Should be good for 50 odd miles

    That's my approach :) I get 150 miles from full tank to low fuel warning coming on pretty much every time. Reset the 'A' trip when I fill up so I know when it's going to light up. Fuelling up is done asap after that.
