While refreshing the bike with the Repsol kit I decided to mod the 2012 zx10r mirrors with intergrated indicators. I know someone here has done it before but I realy liked the look. I didn't want to use the std bulbous indys or micros, this part of the fairing is weak when walking past, I cracked my own so I know. I also have some nice dark tint flush leds, they do look good but not very safe if there was uncoming traffic.

I picked the new mirrors up from fleecebay brand new for £65... bargain.
Here's the mod, not as simple as I first thought.

The mounting hole centres were 45mm and the RR are 40mm so I had to mill & elongate the holes by 2.5mm on each hole.

Next problem was the mirrors use a ratchet system and once mounted were either sitting too far forward or too far back to able adjustment for your glass for the perfect rear view. What I did was take it apart at the swivel joint and mill it all flat taking the 6 raised steps out of it.

Problem 3 was the nut that holds the swivel was weak because we need to have it tight to stop the mirror arm moving around like in the wind etc. So what I did there was ground the stem down by 10mm where the thread was and run a 8.1mm drill all the way through so now it uses a M8 button head screw & nylock nut as it's main swivel point, just like your std mirrors.

Obviously we need the mirror to swivel and adjust a bit and also in the event of an accident to fold up so I used a M8 rubber penny, washer, this does the trick, we can now swivel the mirror with a bit of resistance but it stays nice & tight no matter how many times you move the swivel point around.

The last bit where some might shreak is you will need to drill a small hole in the fairing below the mounting bracket to have access for the indicator wires to run through. And lastly as they are leds you will either need a flasher relay or inline resistors.

If I had of known what I was going to be up against I don't think I would have gone down this root but now I have I really like it. If anyone needs more details I can do a more simple drawing step by step.
When I get time I'll upload some pics of the bike with them on.

That is good - I wonder if I can fit them to my R1 as I don't like the low down standard indicators - I'm sure the Blade height / ones in mirrors ones show up for more in car drivers mirrors / other traffic than the low set ones

Like those as well, how did you get round the studs in the mirrors instead of the bolts that go through?

Anything is possible! What is the gap centre to centre of the mirrors fixing holes?

That looks stunning that blade in Rothmans colour way - really like it and think it works better on that shape than the 08+ bikes -

I actually prefer the bodywork on that bike over the 08 one

I cut down the bracket, then just drilled rite through, bolted mirrors down then got marker pen went around it, cut 3mm inside the marter pen (easy job) then took my LED lights out of the side indicator took stock bulbs out an fitted the leds in Morrors :)
