    Hi guys,

Just picked up my 2013 Tri Color and its awesome! Pics coming soon.

I want to convert the shift pattern to 1 up, 5 down as I'm more used to that from my racing days. Is it just a case of spinning round the shift arm on the gearbox input shaft?

    Cheers :)

You have to mod the sprocket cover as well I think
As it fouls it.i too wanted to do it...
Think rizoma do a kit for it.

Trouble with doing that on a Road Bike is the problems it could cause when the Bike goes in for service etc and a Tech takes the bike for a test ride etc.

Also if you have any gearbox, clutch, transmission issues inside the 2 year warranty Mr Honda may well tell ya to take a hike if you've done that to it.

    ...............just sayin' like! :)

Im not sure it would invalidate your warranty as
It is a better way of changing gear imho and eliminates
    False neutrals.

    Cheers guys!

Went out on it for the first time yesterday, tottally awesome! Did a steady 110 miles to bed everything in. The road shift is no good for me though, much more postive to click it through the box by pushing rather than pulling.

Anyone got any pics of a modified sprocket cover? I thinking just run it without one (we used to on our race bikes), or anyone fitted an aftermarket one?

    Thanks!

    Cheers Phantom! That's great.

I suppose I could just not run a cover, don't people do that?

dremel makes short work of it,you can and people have run without but
you risk stones etc being shot into the hoses in front of the sprocket
not to mention the risk of clothing or a stray bag catching in it and
making a mess of not just the bike but your leg.

thats the standard cover, he cut that triangle out with a dremel then
notched the top to leave clearance for the rod.I'm going to do this
method when I buy another set of brushes for my dremel.

Just ordered that Gillies reverse shift kit, so no cutting of the cover required!

    Cheers guys
