Hi, looking at fitting a 2014 low mileage rear shock from a 14 blade to my 08 blade.

I think its a straight swap - correct? The '14 rear shock comes from a 7500 mile bike. Mines a 30K rear shock so the difference just in terms of age/mileage should be beneficial - correct?

Also the 14 shock should be the Honda badged Showa shock as well? This is quoted as being a better shock than the 08 one.

    Thoughts?

    Straight swop, definitely worth it.

Mudguard is different though so you need to swap that or cut your 08 one to suit

Worth servicing before fitting, maybe the right spring for you. I’d also pull the swing arm and linkage for a good grease up.
