I'm too tall to tuck in properly and realised space is restricted due to the thickness of the rear back rest on the seat cowling. Has anyone removed or fitted a different backrest with less depth?

I'm thinking of removing the back rest and fitting some padding similar to that used on race bikes for seats. Is that available online?

The pad on the seat cowl is quite small I always thought...... I can't see it being too intrusive and not sure you can get any other padding that will fit.

I'm 6'3" and don't have trouble tucking in on either of my last two blades, not that I need too that often unless it's on track?

I'm only 6'2 but maybe have longer legs or something as my elbows and knees get a right tangle up:). Maybe it's an SP issue being single seat no pillion sub frame? I know rear sets are the ultimate solution but I haven't got the money at the moment. If I remove the seat cowl I can slide my arse back further and tuck head down properly.

Ah I see you have the different raised style seat cowl. You're still going to be restricted with the flat wall of the cowl so not sure you find the room you need. You could try no pad at all ......or a standard seat cowl which isn't as high and slopes backwards away from you.;)

This is weird...I'm 6'3" and can easily get flat on the tank. I've got the OEM footrests and clipons (i.e. no mod to original geometry) with the same seat cowl.

Are you a bit stiff? ;)

You know what, I'm not ruling that factor out!! Maybe Yoga sessions will still be cheaper than rear sets! :D

Possibly SP ergonomic is slightly different as my seat cowl and everything is OEM too?

I wonder if my Dianese leathers are restricting me as they are definitely not tall enough. o_O. Will do a little test ride later...
