We had an exceptional trip out to North Wales. As promised by the met office the weather was fine dry and occasionally sunny. The wind was supposed to have dissipated but it escorted us just about all day.
I decided to tag along with Manfred's run to North Wales just the day before.
At 7 am I messaged to Manfred to let him know I'd be setting off at 8am with the aim of meeting him at Richard Charnock services at 9:00 on the M6. 40 miles to the meeting place for me.
So the night before I even washed the bike and checked its tyre pressures, although washing it was a bit of a waste of time as it was covered in flies again by the end of the day.
Anyway, Manfred informed us Graham58 had just caught him on the forum thread before he set off and he was going to meet us at about 10am at a Shell Service Station somewhere near Oulton Park. I was introduced to John (Aprillia RSV), Manfred's (real name Ray and riding a Fireblade) and Ray's mate David (Triumph Speed Triple) So we left Charnock services and met up with Graham (Fireblade) after filtering past a couple of miles of BBTC traffic heading to Oulton Park.
David had been trawling his road map and sussing out a route for us. We were going to aim for Barmouth (oh goody seaside) but Graham knew there was going to be a big sea based event there and so we decided to give it a miss. As it happened Graham had quite a lot of local knowledge and led us perfectly around North Wales. We ultimately aimed to the Ffestiniog Railway/power station, here we had lunch, good stuff and reasonably priced. Graham then led us back to civilisation and I was home 350 miles later at about 17:00.
Thanks go to Ray for getting it sorted and our gratitude goes to Graham for his local knowledge and leading just about all the way. Graham thought he was just tagging along. :)

He's a few pics to keep everyone happy and prove it really happened.

Good stuff Kevin - I'm glad you remember where we went better than I did. Great to meet you and Graham and we'll certainly try and organise another ride.
