Just a few pics no write up.

About 50 miles later, we're at Hartside Moor.

I don't think the colour is quite Repsol but near enough. Chinese? Maybe.

Dani, leaving but I never got his autograph.

There seems to be a few of these about but I might just be photographing the same one over and over again.

On our way to Kielder. David sorting the sat nav.

A biker had had an off and we were held up for about half an hour whilst the helicopter took him to hospital. Fortunately not life threatening, but I don't think he'll be riding that GSXR again. It was a bit of a mess.

We found out there was both police and ambulance helicopters on the scene. The ambulance crew were videoing the incident and after the rider had been removed the police started getting out the tripod to start surveying the area.

It was ages before any of the other bikes that were held up in the queue saw sense and decided to join us at the front. Although we just missed getting through in the first place by seconds.

After they'd finally let us through it wasn't much further up the road to our destination Kielder Water. A nice cafe here but choice is poor and it's not cheap at £6 for a sarnie. Kev's tip: buy one and share as they are quite big.

The 600RR wasn't with us but it looked nice in red

Nice view from the cafe overlooking the lake.

    loo break for me.

When we filled up for some reason Ray's bike had used over a litre more than mine (over about 140 miles), bit odd as both bikes are standard, same year and same colour (lol). As part of our return leg we managed to just get into Scotland before returning down the A7 to Penrith. Then the A6 to Milnthorpe. All in all, a great day out. I did 225 miles and I think Ray and David might've done a total of 300+ miles each.
