Been out on bike this afternoon and everything seemed fine although had sena on with music and ear plugs in. Stopped at in laws for a couple hours. Set off home and noticed a weird clunking crunching noise , especially in 3rd.bikes done 24300 miles does this sound like 3rd has gone. Anyone know what kind or price it would be for fixing ?
Known issue with the blade boxes especially with a quichshifter, cost will depend on quality of part and who’s fitting it unfortunately. Has been covered on here loads mate so maybe a search might give you the info
Hi, did you ever get to the bottom of this? and what was the cost? I know Nova Gearboxes do a stronger 3rd and 4th Gear cog.
Hi mate. Yea it turned out the output shaft was bent on my bike. Notn100% sure whether it was quickshifter that normally.breaks 3rd gear but mine was in one piece or possible going airborne 2 up lol. I should be picking engine up tomorrow after having it fixed.i lucked out massively and found a gearbox with 3k miles on near me so hopefully all be back together after a day or 2
