Has been talked about to death? Or have I missed something Just trying to work out if a servo eliminator is really needed or just disconnecting cables from exhaust valve and tucking away will work?

Why I replied 'Is anyone game' is because of the reported sensitivities of the 2017 -19 bikes as @nevsrevs well knows and has experienced. The incidence of error codes flashing up on these bikes seems to be much greater than earlier models. I had thought that @keithg1748 might have done it during his time changing from standard to Yoshi or vice-versa. Perhaps he'll be alerted by this tag. Anyway, Love Island has finished, but the USA Temptation Island is in full swing!!
Done it twice.. ran it with flap disconnected as soon as i got it, ran it with the Yoshi, ran it stock connected and then ran it with the Scorpion Nothing, no lights same as the +1 on the rear sprocket, but i dont do track days
I've recently upgraded to an arrow from standard on my 2018 so have removed the cables completely, left the servo connected instead of using a servo eliminator with no issues what so ever. I didn't opt for the elastic band trick but I did think about it and may still do it yet. As far as the exhaust flapper mod on the standard exhaust is concerned, just disconnect the two cables from the servo wheel under the seat and leave them in situ..... Try it out and see if you like it and if so remove them all together, they just unclip from behind the footpeg. You'll have to remove the exhaust to get at the cables that are attached at that end though! I did this on my '09 last year without any issues as well, although there's just the one cable to worry about on the older bikes.
Yea just done it this eve and took the bike out, definitely a bit more presence on tick over and lower speeds now. Just rapped a band around the motor and cover to keep a bit of tension on it.
