well I have just dropped my bike off to have this done , Actiforce racing , as I am sick of the snatchy throttle and the shit running at low revs , so I cant wait to see what it does , lol
oh well as long as the bike is right once all the euro 4 shite has gone and the bike runs as it should do.
no I cant wait mate , ive got more chance of winning the lottery than getting any money back off them or Honda , lol the only downfall I got caught in torrential rain taking it and im paranoid as the bikes never seen rain and I just want to clean it , oh and the house looks empty without it but our lass doesn't agree , lol
all I got off them was take it to your dealer to check for any throttle issues or running issues . and as we all know it would come back as fuck all wrong , and I think the bike is great apart from these issues which can be simply sorted imo . otherwise I would have give them the bike back .
it will be interesting and the guy that is doing it is top notch and works in BSB , so he knows his stuff.
Good comment Keith. All credit to you for your perseverance. Many others would have (and probably have) caved in by now. It is a real shame that those of us who have not experienced your problems cannot realistically empathise with the anxiety this has caused you. I mean, all we want to do is ride and look at the damn things!! (Cleaning off the rain muck will be simple and enjoyable) For the lass, may I recommend an educational experience:
well just rode the bike back and the throttle seems miles better and seems better at low revs , so the max power was 165.28bhp , max torque 76.28 ft/lb at 12470.2 rpm . after mapping max power 172.6 bhp , max torque 78.62 ft/lb at 12355.8 rpm . what do you think ? max power gain 7.32 , max torque gain 2.34 ft/lb.
Result - As the aim was to resolve the throttle/idle issues the improved bhp and torque are just a small bonus aren’t they? How much was the flash if you don’t mind sharing
Do you still have the standard exhaust on? Mine came out at 176 with a Scorpion Serket Taper with the baffle out. With the baffle in it was lower than the standard exhaust on the original map. Anything over 160 is more than enough though. I ride around in mode 2 most of the time, which restricts the power in the first 3 gears anyway, I'm led to believe, and I don't think I have ever had the throttle wide open. I was more concerned with a smooth delivery and the remap achieved that for me.
no Austin racing with both baffles in ,and standard filter , that's what I wanted a smoother delivery and it seems a lot better .
