received a letter today from Honda about a recall over the petrol cap , but when I rang the local dealer he didn't have a clue and said theres no recalls on for the bikes , he said I will contact Honda , but did any other owners get a letter ?
There's a thread from an Aussie member re the same recall over there.. http://www.hondaprokevin.com/2017-h...ale-cbr-1000-sport-bike-motorcycle-cbr1000-rr
Just as an aside....how can a dealer not have a clue about recalls or stop sales?!? Surely any company is going to inform the dealers! Or do they just go automatically into deny anything mode
Yep, I received a letter too. When I check my VIN on the Honda website it says there are no recalls though.
yer that's what the dealer said , there are no recalls , but he did say Honda have done it before where they tell the owners before the dealers , lol
A possible gap in the seal of the filler caps I read which could allow water to enter the tank. This Blade has been a disaster for Honda. Is this another one though?
iv already done it mate , it says nothing , but the letter I got this morning has my reg and vin number , I think they are covering themselves , but its better to be safe than sorry , lol
I think you need to read the ABS thread when you've got a few days to spare. But to save you the hassle, the big H just deny everything. No problems with ABS and the throttle response only affects the race bikes. I have experienced both issues first hand.
