Decided to visit CMC's new Manchester store today...... What an amazing showroom and great range of bikes. But of course there was one that caught my eye. The 2020 R1 which I have recently expressed an interest in...... I've got to say its a bit of me that....... Ended up in the office discussing figures while the kids played on some bikes...... And the Mrs stayed in the car with the baby unaware of what was potentially happening
Blue. I know what you mean about the grey, but they are only small areas and not really noticeable side on. The body of the bike, including all of the fairings and tank is lovely blue - it is only the tail end and front mudguard in grey. You can always break up the grey mudguard with a tyre brand sticker on the side - Metzeler, Bridgestone, Dunlop - that will stand out against the grey - just a thought. Are you thinking of getting an R1 then ?
I think that is the 2018. Mine is the 2019 and it has the lower half of the fairing in black. I like the front number plate in black on the 2018 - that looks cool.
I think it is..... @Mattie660 will be better placed to advise..... As he has done. Few deals on 2019 models with free Akrapovic exhaust for £14795 which is a good deal considering.
Yes been thinking about for a while despite only having my blade a year..... It won't be just yet though unless they come up with a finance deal that can rival what Honda offer. I asked if I could get one with colour coded front mudguard and tail unit, they said they use a body shop next door who could professionally paint the parts and it wouldn't affect the terms and conditions of the finance deal...
That said....... The Ducati Panigale V2 is getting some seriously good reviews and again its a taller bike which is the reason I'm thinking of a change. Hmm never had a Duc!
I really like the grey with the blue, imho I think it would look too plain all in blue, I like a few different colours. Different strokes for different folks and all that. Great choice either way Paul, will be sad to see your blade go I’m sure, she’s a beauty too
It's not 100% yet anyway..... I love my blade and I desperately want to keep it. I've just got it into my head it's too small for me at 6'3".....actually felt guilty sat on the R1 today knowing my blade was at home ..... Well in the in laws garage
You will have to get one of those tall adventure bikes - and go on "adventures" Or this - I seem to remember reading that the Super Duke series suited taller riders You could have a few "adventures' on this Suit you - oh !
Interesting reading, @PauloHRC . As you'll recall from my earlier posts, the Yamaha is such a tempting bike to pull even the most devoted Honda follower away from the brand. Yes, the R1 is a tad roomier than the current Blade, and far roomier than the new one. Most astounding though is the price you've quoted - sub £15K - which must mess with your head even more!! I would have asked why not consider the R1M, but when we're talking £7K difference, it just doesn't work. Here, I guess you benefit with PCP because if not for that guaranteed value, you'd probably be down the tube trade-in wise. For what it's worth, and you'll probably do this, is put it on the back burner, get back into your house, and then check the more desperate 'pre-Christmas/New Year' market.
