Not sure if this has been on the forum but Hunts had 28 brand new bikes stolen last month. If it has done the rounds sorry l missed it. Beware if buying on ebay!!!!
blades cbr600's crf's plus others they all came with keys some of the cbr600's were the new repsol which haven't been released yet
That has got to be 2-3 lorry loads sandwiched That is alot of bikes to move and store up.Also its got to be 1/4 million quids worth.Even more in parts. Inside /insurance job possible? It should be on crimewatch I bet.
I remember seeing something once on one of these police camera program's where 2 brand new un reg BMW 's (cars) they were found in containers about to leave the uk. They reckon if they had left they could of been registered in another country and not traced!
Mark I've got a good clean reputation to look after.I'm a business owner and a family man.I don't need to steal or get involved in anything to make a living.I like to sleep at night Lol Whoever did this must know this dealers security arrangements in order to steal those bikes.Lets hope they are caught soon.
As many said, that is a huge amount of parts to shift. The engine and frame numbers will all be known and I have no doubt the team at hunts will be watch gumtree , eBay and similar for items to surface. Whoever has them could be waiting for them to cool off or trying to split with others in other parts of UK. I would think it's more a case of when not if parts / bikes turn up. Big irony would be one turning up at hunts for work brought in by unsuspecting owner of rung bike etc.
A big haul like this may well be sent straight abroad so as to avoid any myther with UK based ID numbers. Good organisation could have seen all these bikes on a shipping container and out of UK waters before Hunts Staff even turned up for work the following day!
I read somewhere once that the presidentor member of royal familiy of a country like Romania or somewhere came over to the UK or USA and it was only when doing routine security checks they found out that their personal car was a rangerover stolen from the UK. Just shows any poor sod can get caught up buying one log these
Ballsy operation, to nick so many and it wouldnt have been mega quick.. does raise some questions :-/
