    Must say I felt a little let down by r1 tbh... Was really hoping I'd like it more in the flesh....

    And in normal colours it was ok, but RIM def looked better... But in that video it's stunning :confused:

    I saw it at the show and really wanted to like it, I'm afraid I couldn't get past those lights and for that reason its off my wish list (mind you I remember how folks hated the 08+ blade nose.... I don't hear any complaints now!)

    Did you see the bloody awful crash bungs on the R1 next to this one? I'm not a big fan of crash bungs full stop, but they were truly awful IMO.

    Good bit of video there YT,:) in fact got more of a idea of the bike than the official unveil. Not sure on the Silver /Black, looking forward to seeing it in Blue/White

    It will be interesting to see it with a UK legal size plate, indicators etc. etc to compare.

    For the crash bungs, I say well done / fair play for Yamaha trying to provide something to solve an issue / problem of damaged side fairings - Which other sportsbike maker is doing this ? They look far less likely to 'dig in' and flip the bike than after market ones, and the fairings didn't need to be drilled / cut to fit them.

    I can't get on with the lights or general slab nosed look to the bike - sure some aftermarket stickers could improve that.

    Kawasaki made their own crash bungs yonks ago :) they should blend in with the bike, those look like a prop from an Alien movie :S
