    Hi all,

What's your opinion on the profile for the rear of an rr5?

I've seen some threads suggesting changing over to a 55 will assist handling but to be honest I dont really understand why?

I have a 190/50 at the mo, dont really get my knee down and never take the bike low enough to completely use the current tyre (there are about 5mm chicken strips on both sides)

    Any thoughts?

Yup .. I recently fitted the 55 and am really impressed with the way it rolls into a corner now. I found the 50 had a step as you first started to corner. The 55 gives a much smoother roll over and I feel more confident on roads I haven't ridden before.

Could not agree more with the other comments. The 55 profile rear does help turning in, feels smoother and more willing to lean.
