Do I need to take off the rear hugger if I fit a 55 profile tyre?? Looks very close to the tyre now!

Is it a OEM HRC one?

If so, then no, tiz tight and does 'graze' ever so slightly at 120+ speeds due to tyre growth but tiz nowt to worry about.

This pic is of a 50 series PR3 and the hugger when just fitted and it didn't touch.

This pic is when I changed to a 55 series Pirelli Rosa Corsas and as U can see there is a tiny black mark about the size of a 20p piece where the tyre has 'Kissed' the underside of the Hugger when it was new.
Once worn in a bit is stops but is nowt to stress about. The 55 is a far better tyre choice.

The 55 profile makes the bike muchhhhh better handling wise! If you think about it.. road riding it will flatten anyways after time... so be like a 50 when used... so a 50 when used be even worse!
