A friend off another forum is selling this fully rebuilt 749 for £2500, bike is in the Marlow area
I'll hook you up your are interested

Converted over the winter from a 13,000 mile 2005 model year Ducati 749 Biposto, that had been used regularly as a commuter but had a low side and was a Cat C write off.

    Known service history is

    2011 - V Duo 7889 miles, service and belts

    2012 - V Duo 9764 service and fluids

    2013 - S Cameron 11988 - Sevice, fluids and belts.

This winter, I have fitted a new K&N oil filter, new engine oil, new gold DID chain and sprockets, Kevlar handlebar grips, new titanium or stainless bolts here and there. It has had a full wheels off, pipes off, sub frame off - full degrease, re-lubricate and re-torque all main fixings.

As I have removed all of the lighting, it is NO LONGER ROAD LEGAL (but still has an MOT up to June 2014).

The bike has brand new fairings, Ducati Race fairing bracket, new fairing fastners, new nose and tail unit, dark screen, new decals, new pirelli supercorsa rear, new Go-Pro mounts front and back.

It has a carbon hugger, carbon exhaust shields. The sub frame has been shortened (taking off the pillion frame). Everything else is standard and polished up, but otherwise unmolested. This is not a tricked up and well thrashed track bike, but a well cared for road bike, now ready for track use. It had a small accident that only did aesthetic damage and minor mechanical damage to levers etc (I have the photographs from after the accident). The frame, wheels, engine, forks, swing arm are all original and are perfect.

The bike runs perfectly. The only known "faults" are that the service light is now on (not that it matters) and that it sometimes hesitates to start, but always starts - so needs a brand new battery.

I bought it as a project, and have just completed it. I now want to sell it so that I can buy a Hypermotard SP for the summer.

The bike is for sale as seen (without pit stands), but if it reaches £2500 in the auction I will include a brand new pirelli front tyre, new brembo front race pads and a new set of pipercross air filters.

No reserve, so bid to buy.

Collect only. Payment within 36 hours of end of auction. Sorry no payment on collection.

EDIT now on the evil bay
