Here we go, post road test PDI photo’s as promised, Termi pipes, DP carbon tail tidy, tank protector, clutch & genny covers, alarm system and tinted high screen all fitted, the under size registration plate has arrived in the post and insurance is sorted. All ready to rock and roll come September. Unfortunately the Corse fairing livery and some carbon I ordered is still on back order but that is no big deal and can be fitted as and when. 41T rear sprocket and chain will be fitted at first service. The huge registration back plate and reflector will be removed from the carbon tail tidy when I fit the undersize plate to give a nice clean minimal rear end.
That scruffy looking individual is the head techy, never judge a book by its cover. What he doesn’t know about working on Ducati's isn’t worth knowing, and when he is not fixing them he is racing them. I had asked him if, when he did the shake down run he would take a twisty scenic route and get some heat into the tires to save me tippy toeing around with my balls in my mouth. Good to his word, they are nicely scrubbed in. I have a case of beers in the hall for the staff at my local Ducati dealership. St Neots Motorcycles. Only a small Ducati dealer but fantastic, nothing is too much trouble, and friendly service. I said I was going to order some race front fork sliders from another Ducati dealer and race team based in the midlands as I didn’t like the ones they showed me and they said to get them sent straight to them and they would fit them FOC. Awesome service. I had nothing against my local Honda dealer Marshalls, now since closed and the franchise transferred to Wheels, who I wouldn’t trust to service my tractor; they have a lot to learn about how to treat a customer. Now the only open question is do I trade my 2011 blade (price offered is more than I expected) or keep it. I have to make my mind up before the end of next week, L is saying ‘do what you want, but just bear in mind you hardly have time to ride one bike let alone two’ my head and heart are at odds and I am swaying back and forth so I guess it will be a snap decision at the eleventh hour when I make the bank transfer to pay for the Panigale.
That looks great Freedom and all the extras will really finish it off .When you get yourself a new expensive toy like this it just about makes going to work a taking the hits at your level just about bearable lol. I think Ling is right the blade won't get any action so you might as well deal with it and move on .Very pleased for you dude .
Lovely lovely bike make. Looks stunning and can't wait to see the corse livery... Giv's right, let the blade go, you'll want to ride the duke and kick yourself its sitting in the garage and another thing that has to get sorted in selling it! You'll wish you didn't take the less time consuming easy option with the trade in
Looks great, nice bike mate, keep that old blade you know you want too but then I guess you can only ride one at a time.....lol I struggle to let them go and love to hop from the Ducati to the Honda...
A mate of mine takes his 1199 over to them at St Noets and only has good things to say about them, Bike looks lovely by the way, enjoy .... you will !!
I agree, stunning Bike! However I must 'Nit Pick' the Dealerships 'non-professionalism' of letting the Head Techy (and everyone else presumably) where his 'Gardening' clothes to work! What do the rest of the Crew look like? I'm not disputing their skills, but as a Business owner myself, image is just as important as service to most of Joe Public and a few sets of spangly Ducati overalls would make all the difference IMHO.
