Ok peeps seeing as I'm not as clued up as you lot , who can give me some info on what the advantages are of having these.Apart from the obvious being able to inflate the tyre easier and check tyre pressures easier . Also types and makes available/what to stay clear of etc etc. Cheers Steve
You've answer your own question to be honest, they are for ease of use You'll save a little when changing tyres over as your not paying for new valves, would buy from M&P or similar for peace of mind
had these on my blade bridgeport is the name you want mate, apart from making things easy they look the part too! there is one size for the italian bikes and one for jap bikes if i remember rght?
My local bike shop told me not to keep them on the valve whilst riding as I can unbalance he wheels also if they come off well need I say
Had them on my bikes for years. Honestly makes me smile any time I see someone without them trying to get to their valves to blow up their tyres. Oh and Trev next time you see that tyre bloke. Slap him!
Your thinking of the screw on 90deg adaptors Not the fixed 90deg Bridgeport valves. You need 11.3mm for the blade.
With the standard valves on I can fit this baby on, but inflation is tricky Take it those valves are idiot proof to fit. Not that I'm the idiot you understand !!
I have them and they are very good, much easyer to use. You're tyre fitter will install them as tyre needs to come off so best to install the next time you fit new rubber.
Yeah I've done the back now in 2,300 miles , dunno whether to put one on the back on Monday or Tuesday or wait till early next year when both are due. The OCD might not be able to cope with different valves on each wheel !
Yeah Kev ,I noticed on your other post . They look really well. What colour is rest of bike has it plenty of gold on it ?
I've just ordered some of these, it was only Thursday I wanted to inflate my tyres after track time last weekend and I thought something like this would be ideal. Thanks a lot for the headsup Sinewave. Andy B
