Had my Blade about 8 months and over the winter I've been doing various mods.

I recently noticed that the lower fairing bracket was broken, no problem as Fowlers listed them and was only £2.50.

Went to fit it yesterday and very quickly realised why the previous owner left it. The fooking bolt was rounded out.

Typical case of a steel bolt inside ally housing and it corroded and stuck in there.

So now I've snapped it and has resulted in my bike being in my mates workshop and will be drilled out next week.

What a ball ache! Nothing worse than jobs like this cropping up.

I've had this a couple of times now despite a slathering of copper slip when refitting. Bloody frustrating.

Before resorting to drilling, see if you can tap in (with a mallet) a slightly oversized torx bit in to the allen bolt hole and then cracking it off - or better, use said torx bit with an impact driver. The bolts are made of cheese and so round off quite easily, but means you can also try oversized bits in them to coax them out...

Snapped off flush with the housing.
Belly pan off and drill it through and replaced with a nut and bolt
