So today was the day, cruised into dynobike at 1 this afternoon ready to see what my machine could really do. Was expecting to see some nice power at the back wheel with the M4 GP can on it. Its maybe worth explaining that I had to buy a baffle for this particular exhaust because it was obnoxiously loud without! We got the bike on the dyno strapped her down and paul did what he does best... Only to find on the first run with the baffle in....

114bhp at the wheel!! (thought it felt down on power but not this much!)

    O . M. G.

Took the baffle out for the second run with better results...

163bhp at the wheel with the stock exhaust map in the PCV. So.. i could maybe expect to see a few ponies more than that once setup properly. So here's the dilemma: keep the exhaust running with no baffle and make every member of the public I pass ears bleed OR run it with baffle in and the power of my old 600rr.

I am not at all happy with M4 as I did have my suspicions about the baffle having a power killing cork effect but the M4 technician assured me I would lose 10bhp max!!

Then I remembered a post Si. had put up the other day for this:

yoshimura exhaust Honda Fireblade 2008-2011 | eBay

So i bought it! Would like to personally say thankyou to Si. for taking time to make everyone aware of this as it has saved me having to buy a new exhaust and spend another £500... So fingers crossed I can sell the M4 and not lose too much money.

Would also like to say how much of a pleasant chap paul is at Dynobike. Really helpful and only charged me £30 in the end even though I was there for 2 hours and he was farting about with the exhaust baffle and taking my fairings off etc. Soon as I have the Yoshi I am definitely going back and getting it right this time!

Cheers Paul, cheers Si. thanks but no thanks M4... Yoshi here we come.

    Here's the power graph anyway:

Haha, nice one !..that Yoshi was a good deal..glad it went to someone on here!

114 bhp,.... Fek me, that's dire that...must have been running like dog poo. The fuelling looks all over the place with the m4 in!

Yeah well i've learnt my lesson, can't honestly say I'm a fan of the stainless exhaust but from the power graphs he showed with the yoshi it seems the way forward..

Not surprised you are not happy about M4, that is appalling. Glad you got sorted with the Yoshi.

Lets hope there's a few Firebladers who aren't a member of this forum who are in the market for an M4, otherwise you may as well take it the scrap yard cause no fecker off here will touch it after a report like that!

Cheers sine!! lol, it still put out 163bhp at the wheel with stage 1 baffle so someone out there who likes it loud will be very impressed with the exhaust
