They will be hitting it hard for the first month of good weather! Rode down a couple of weeks back on the only dry Sunday and was quite a few cops about plus an accident half way done the A 32 a car pulled out on 5 bikes and took 2 of them out!

I don't use the A272 much these days because of the reason outlined above.

Back in the day I had some glorious blasts along there but these days? No ta. It's hardly surprising more of us are heading over the channel for some fun.

Where can we have fun if it isn't on our local roads. I think speeding in open areas is not the issue.

I still do, but I'm more selective these days. I tend to venture out early on Sunday mornings, have a blast then be back home by 10am before the roads are clogged up.

I got done for undertaking an unmarked Police Car yesterday evening on the way to work whist driving the car.
Got wound up on the way to work by incompetent drivers pulling out to the right lane on the dual cariageway and just sitting there with no one in the left hand lane.
Happened half a dozen times over around 3miles.
Then came off a roundabout on the dual carriageway and had a black Vauxhall Vectra in the right lane with nothing in the left hand lane for a few hundred yards.
Out of frustration decided to undertake in the left hand lane.
A mile or so later the blue light in the grill lite up on the Vectra.
Issued this Driving without due care and attention!!
    Be careful guys!!
It's going to be a nightmare havering unmarked sports bikes with cameras.
I feel the need for a transparent number plate !!

Cheers for the heads up.... Sussex is a nightmare! I was followed by sportsbike in lewes and tugged by unmarked golf up the road, and an unmarked Audi on a272 followed me but pulled off and sent me a little NIP a week later. Just got to accept its the reality now and be careful.

Thanks Kev my local road ,cycled it mostly last week and spotted 3 unmarked patrol cars , as the season starts they will go for a clamp down although not sounding a nugget some do treat it like a race track and do not knock it off in the villages hence locals then call plod 272 towards winch closed to flooding as we'll currently.

The 272 is still one of my faves. My rents live on the 272, Dads been a biker 50+ years and still has a few inc a ZRX1200R which he's regularly out on for a spirited ride.
I think that people get pee'd off, as even he does, when there's a residential bit with 40 limit, blind bends, numerous driveways/side roads etc and on a sunny day bikers hoon thru there waaaaay above the limit (like 80-90).

That's just cheating. I need an led number plate with a switch on the bars.
