Well as the title says about 500 miles ago I had a 2012 rear shock fitted to my bike and some 55 profile Pirelli DRC's fitted a few days later! With the shock I cheated a little and used my set up data from the 08 shock and dialled it in which seems to be working great with the new one also, so much smoother over the bumps and stuff. Well worth the £170 quid I paid as mod till I can afford a nitron or similar and recommend to anyone who needs to replace there shock but can't afford the price "ohlins" etc to go this route. The pirelli's have taken a little getting used too after riding on Michelins, I guess the profile also makes a hell of a lot of difference too. But am amazed at how much feedback and grip you get with these tyres! I know I won't get the mileage I did out of my "power pure's" (4500) which I thought was amazing for that tyre, but I'd trade for more grip than mileage any day. Thanks again for all the guys who have said go the 55 route.
