can someone explain whats going on iv got a 2010 abs for the past two years every now and then the battery goes flat had the charging system checked out every thing is ok even put a new battery on iv now read it could be how i park the bike turning the bars etc it then got me thinking it only happens when i take the bike to work to park in work i do at least a 3 point turn with the engine on leave the bike to the end of my shift flat as a pancake if this is the case i thought it would be more common seeing how many bikes they sold anyone got any info thanks. ps spoke to a honda dealer didnt know what i was talking about.
Do a search on here / Google. I think this was a known issue and required an ABS ECU replacement. e.g. https://www.1000rr.co.uk/threads/2010-abs-model-blade.25571/#post-371150
It is to do with the way you turn the bars when parking and the difference between front and rear wheel rotation The battery is completely drained within 20 mins of parking Unless you can find a cheap ABS ECU, once parked you can hear the the electrics still active with the ignition off, the simplest work around is to park the bike, turn off the ignition, then turn back on and off, it's reset by then. PS, as soon you mention the words abs and problem in the same sentence to a Honda dealer they go into bypass mode and develope instant amnesia
