Hi all Had the blade for 4 months now and on the few rides I've managed to fit in between the rain and wind storms I'm finding the peg position to be an issue after an hour or so on the bike. Just wondering if any of you guys have tried the Biketek adjustable foot pegs? BIKETEK ADJUSTABLE FRONT FOOTPEGS/FOOTRESTS/REARSETS HONDA CBR 1000 RR FIREBLADE | eBay If anybody has what do you think of them??? How much adjustment do they actually give??? I'm looking to move the pegs both down and back slightly to reduce the bend at the knee as had several op's on them from my football days and the discomfort is tarnishing an otherwise fantastic biking experience. Cheers Torjor
Got some identical to this. My knees are f@cked too from my motocross days. Have got mine set up and back. The position is far more comfortable for me. I would have thought down would be a problem when lent over, unless you only do 30 on roundabouts that is.
It's a 2012 Sine. And yeah down may be a problem but need to change the current position if I'm going to keep her. Possibly back and up slightly will do the trick??
Mines a 2012 too. A recent test in Fast Bikes or Performance Bikes commented that the standard Blades Pegs are too high and that adjustable rear-sets which would lower them would prove far more comfortable? Must admit I don't find my legs to be a problem but I'm all for comfort on the Road Bike. Trouble is Gilles Rearsets for an ABS Blade are £450!
I've got mfw adjustable footpegs and have them down and to the rear View attachment 19027 No problem so far with clearance on roundabouts and no I don't do 30 round them
Yeah have considered the rear sets but broke the bank buying the bike n had a small off first time out dohhh!!!! so spent a few quid repairing it. Love the power n handling but have had nakeds for 20+ years and felt the need to try a sports bike before I got too old!!! Will maybe try these pegs as a cheaper solution to start with and consider the rearsets when the banks a bit happier Cheers Torjor
Thanks for the link SPS but they don't list the 2012 model?? Will give the other ones a try when funds allow and give some feedback as soon as poss. Thanks all for the replies. Cheers Torjor
I had some and found that they splayed your feet out a bit so they were taken off. If you have a smaller exhaust it is possible to put a small link piece in the top mount and rotate the stock bracket down.
