    Hi all,

Well i'm finally getting round trying to remove my engine, i've got all the bolts out, everything disconnected but the engine won't come out i think its the connection underneath the swingarm bolt thats not releasing.
I know the lower adjusting bolt is still in but it won't release, while trying to realease it one of the two small lugs broke of the adjusting bolt! The engine will wobble and freely move past all the other connections up and down but the one connection will just not move!. If anyone could give me some advice and tips on how to get the engine out!

    Cheers

    Doug

    Cheers bud!
I've got the service manual and been reading that religiously but still not having much luck!
Just don't want to break anything removing the engine from frame, Hopefully someone that's removed one will come along with some tips cause it seems pretty solid in there.

Whats an adjusting bolt; is it castleated?

I have removed engines from other bikes, but not a Blade. I don't know which bolt you mean but I have managed to free & remove many bolts using a little heat from a heat gun or plumbers gas torch. The bolts are generally made of a different metal than the part they are holding on; the gentle heat encourages them to expand a different rates which often frees them up.

Sorry this is not much help. Good luck with it. :)

    reet then,

get a jack on the sump to take the strain, your big issue will be taking out the bolt that goes flush upto the engine (where the support shaft goes through, and the castelated nut goes over),the 2 flanges snap so easily if theres still strain on the engine.

    so front 4 bolts removed?

2 rear locking nuts (castelated) and nuts off opposite side removed?

now all you ned to do is make surre the jack is taking the strain of the engine, then with an allen key, very gently try to undo the shaft, this will in turn loosen the engine mount bolt (the 1 with the 2 tabs on it).be very very very careful or you will sheer the tabs off.

if they are not moving, carefully lift/lower the jackslightly, whilst trying to loosen the engine mounts to make sure the jack is taking the weight.

i'm not sure i'm explaing this well (i'm more of a dooer than a teller lol).

on a plus note,i have 2 spare engine bolts (the tabbed ones) if you do sheer them.

also, have you got the castelated nut off? do you have a socket to fit or are you using the screw driver method? ;)

pm me if your stuck and i'll give you my number, easier to explain that way really
