    Ok,
I have upgraded my 954 a reasonable bit but now i want to make it as comfy as possible, now i have added a custom seat which is very nice but has added about and inch to the ride height, couple this with the Ohlins rear shock i had fitted which has also increased the ride height and ..... well you get it, i am 5ft 7'' and could do with it being lower, i also find that with the ride height i am more '' over '' the front bars than before... so solution.

Have the bike lowered (professionally) and then fit some variobars at the front to ease my wrists. Other than that, i can not think of anything else. I already have adjustable levers and a touring screen and have had the suspension set up properly, it was fully serviced a bit ago and had virtually everything changed, i have also fitted a Gilles shift holder for the gear shaft.

Has anybody ever fitted bar risers to a 954 and/or had it lowered.

    Ta.

If all else fails just eat pies for a week, the extra weight you put on will make the bike sit lower and your problems will be solved

If you like giving money away, have it modded professionally, but it really ain't that difficult. Buy a lowering dogbone or triangles, loosen the relevant bolts on the rear suspension linkage, support the bike using an ABBA stand or a bar through the swingarm pivot on axle stands. Do the mod, put nuts n bolts back in place, take off stand and tighten nuts n bolts up. The best mod is to buy an adjustable length shock that you can shorten to your correct seat height. The longer Ohlins will make the front end more unstable!!! The front end is more difficult. Variobars or Helibars will help, but you may need to cut the fairing!!! Another way is a different top yoke that will take angled risers and handlebars to bring the bars and master cylinder back and up, away from the fairing. PM yer number for a chat?

    Hi,
Will send pm. I am trying to source some Heli bars but they don't make them for my bike anymore, so its second hand only. I do love the Ohlins as it has made the ride super comfy from the standard but has made it higher. Not keen on cutting the fairing at all, and will amend the front without doing this.
