Those of you that have made the change from rr4/rr5 to a 2012-2014 blade, do you find the riding position more or less aggressive or should I say comfortable on the wrists and back, particularly those more hmm hmm more mature riders

    Thanks

I went from an RR6 to an RR8, then an RRC. I'd say riding position is about the same - I don't remember much of a change. I upgraded to the Gel Seat on the later models - much more comfortable.

    Went from a rr5 to a rr9

I find the position different..the rr9 feels smaller...and it feels somewhat different..and I am finding I need to ride slow to get use to it...its more upright

If that is correct it implies the new blade offers a less crouched and more upright riding positions which would make me think it's a bit less aggressive and more comfy unless I'm reading it wrong.

I have only had my 2011 blade. And found it to be one of the most comfy sports bikes I have ridden. From Weekend blats, touring 400+ miles a day for days and trackdays for me ( A large chap, 6ft 2") it's not heavy on the wrists, bad on the back or legs. And I have some major issues with hip operations etc...

So as far as the current crop of blades if they are like my 2011 blade they are going to confy

    Just my view mind you

I commute 122 miles a day 4/5 days a week on my 2013 blade and I love it very comfy

I have put Gilles rearsets on which will alter the position slightly

I test rode the new ZX10R back to back with blade and it damn near crippled me ! I have back issues and it hurt me a lot !

All sounds positive, I find my current bike fine so as long as it's at least as comfy I wont have a problem.

I hear what you say about zx10 I was the same when I tried the R6, was like sitting on a razor blade though I really liked the riding position of the older ZX6R (636) which fitted just right.

Years since I had a earlier Blade but I think the footpegs are much higher than most bikes I have had, soon to be sorted with rearsets.

The wrists aren't bad but not as comfortable as the new Ducati 899 and some other sports bikes.
