Hi. I'm after a higher screen than the standard one on my 15 blade. I did buy one, but the fit was shocking so sent it back. Any recommendations for the late model screens, before I bite the bullet and get a genuine Honda racing screen at £100 ( or a new gixxer thou instead)!
Puig, or the Honda one, have a look on eBay, usually a few around, anything from 012 will fit, I have the Honda one, well worth it on longer trips.
I've got the Puig on mine, looks great and well made. A bargain on eBay, I paid a lot more; http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/122305886622
Thanks for that, looks like a great deal! I'm not too keen on the looks of normal double screens, but that looks good to me! I'm only wanting to fit one trying to stop my leathers ballooning at high speeds over the mountain!
I have a Mcguiness screen, Zero Gravity on mine and the wind difference is amazing at higher speed, but I found that you ride a lot faster as you don't notice the speed so much compared to a lower screen. Found it perfect for touring abroad. Perfect fit also, definitely recommend.
Ordered it, so cheap it would be rude not too. At least I'll get my money back on it when it's time to strip the bike to standard when it gets traded!
I suppose they probably reasoned that most people with an out going model would already have one already. Makes room for overpriced parts for the new model!
Bought a cheap one of ebay...total shite....then bought honda high screen. Second hand of ebay £37 ...that and a honda energy gel seat best two mods I've made (nice)..
Thats exactly why I was asking, as I got one before which was a terrible fit. It wasn't a cheap one, but I can't remember what make it was, so didn't want to end up with the same again! Got a great deal on a puig thanks to fraz postimg a link on here!
Puig make great screens. I had a zero gravity on my 09 and the fit was rubbish and I couldn't stop it from buzzing. Swapped it over to a puig and haven't looked at another brand since.
Puig arrived today, looks well made, but won't find out if it fits well for a while, as I'm not risking bending the fairings about in this temperature as it's asking for something to break! Vertuhonda are well recommend for supplying the Screen so quickly!
