Sure I've ready somewhere that the bike will fail it's MOT emissions test if it's removed. Can anyone confirm or deny?
Bikes don't get emissions tests during mot! I am assuming your talking about the PulsedAIR system fitted to the bike? Why are you wanting to remove it?
Removing it can stop any popping noises and does help with mapping. As said, bikes don't have an emissions test for an MOT, the PAIR system was used for the initial sale of the bike to get through EU regs. Kits are on Ebay for £25.
Is it the PAIR system that cuts in below 4000rpm and reduces the engine braking too? For instance, if you are slowing down from about 7000rpm, throttle closed, you can feel the engine braking the bike and the engine sounds smooth, then as the revs drop past 4000rpm it feels like the engine braking eases up and you hear the popping from the exhaust - PAIR system doing this?
pair must be blanked for mapping , otherwise will false the values i m for blank with two cilindrical plugs direct on rubber line
