I only have a basic stainless exhaust and that also has started to melt my Chinese belly pan :( I have just got some exhaust wrap to put on at weekend to see if that cures it
Pain in the ass for sure :(

I had the same issue with my 2007 blade, I got a new lower fairing panel fitted under warranty after a lot of haggling. But Honda must have been aware of the issue as the new panel had a larger strip of heat proof tape on the inside!

Rather than putting wrap around your exhaust, you can buy heat proof tape from Screwfix, and tape up the inside of the fairing panel. I also had this problem with my track bike used this tape on the inside of the fairing and it works a treat!

it burnt through my stick-on ali heat shield?, although it was the stuff that came with the fairing, maybe not as good as other thicker stuff?
anyway i have exhaust wrap now, so will put that on at weekend :)

I had to cut a lot of the lower fairing away on my 13 Repsol to fit the BSB headers and still melted in a few other places, so trimmed them off as well

Thought the road version wasn't as bad, although others have said it melted the bottom of there belly pan

I used the stick on heat proof stuff seems to be working
