    Hi,

How much would it cost to get an Alarm installed in my RR9?

Any recommendations on which ones i should consider?

    Thanks

I guess you need it for insurance purposes. If so I would go with the cheapest one on their list of approved alarms.

They do not stop theft, so why pay more?

My RR6 had an Honda Averto, apparently it was going the like the clappers as it was lifted into a van according to the witness, so it did at least work.

My current bike as a Datatool S4, as it has not been nicked yet, cannot say if it will work, but when I walk into it in the garage, if its hard enough it will trigger so it should at least work when it does get lifted.

nope they will not stop a theft - sometimes i leave my bike outside, and i am never too far from it...and if moved i would hear the alarm...better then no alarm..

insurance - alarm did not make any difference..very odd!

In my experience alarms are more trouble than they are worth. My previous bike had all sort of problems with the Datatool S3 that it had fitted - ruining a few rideouts for me as a result. So I won't be fitting one to this bike. I would suggest you resort to physical theft deterrent like a decent lock and chain if possible.

Don't want to state the obvious, but mine was lifted and captured on cctv, 4 blokes, 2 scaffold poles, 20 seconds, hope you are fast at getting down the stairs and through your front door, and tackling 4 don't give a fook Easterns with a van on false plates.

They did not give a fook at 9 30 am on a busy street in London, with commuters walking up and down.
