Guys I have a Datatool S4-C1 RED alarm and my battery life and re-starting experience in shiiit I have to have my bike on a trickle charger every second i'm not riding it And even then i still on get 3 maybe 4 decent startermotor spins before the battery is screwed anyone else ??????
just bought an rr7 and it came with a datatool alarm on it, not sure which model, category 1 alarm and immobiliser, sets itself, first alarm i have had on a bike, and all i can say is its a pain in the a**e, and drain the battery aswell
Simply did not get one fitted this time, they cause nothing but problems, nobody takes any notice of them, they don't change a thing on your insurance and cost a fortune, take it off and enjoy not changing your battery every five mins and not being stranded in the back of beyond Just my opinion
Try putting it on sleep mode when you've got it locked up in the garage mate. Shouldn't drain the battery then. Personally I prefer the peace of mind having an alarm on the bike when parked up somewhere.
I hate alarms they are a pain, got one fitted to the blade but luckily it only switches on if I switch it on so I just leave it off permanently also have just had delivered the permanent lead for the optimate battery connector so I'll keep it connected
