Alarms - how do you get on !!!!!

    Guys

    I have a Datatool S4-C1 RED alarm

    and my battery life and re-starting experience in shiiit

    I have to have my bike on a trickle charger every second i'm not riding it

    And even then i still on get 3 maybe 4 decent startermotor spins before the battery is screwed


    anyone else ??????

    just bought an rr7 and it came with a datatool alarm on it, not sure which model, category 1 alarm and immobiliser,sets itself, first alarm i have had on a bike, and all i can say is its a pain in the a**e, and drain the battery aswell

    Simply did not get one fitted this time, they cause nothing but problems, nobody takes any notice of them, they don't change a thing on your insurance and cost a fortune, take it off and enjoy not changing your battery every five mins and not being stranded in the back of beyond

    Just my opinion :)

    Try putting it on sleep mode when you've got it locked up in the garage mate. Shouldn't drain the battery then. Personally I prefer the peace of mind having an alarm on the bike when parked up somewhere.

    I hate alarms they are a pain, got one fitted to the blade but luckily it only switches on if I switch it on so I just leave it off permanently also have just had delivered the permanent lead for the optimate battery connector so I'll keep it connected
