I have always had Dainese but last year bought an Alpine Stars suit ( Think it was a GP Pro ), got it home, fitted great, really comfortable but then I got my bike out, got about 1 mile down the road and had to turn around because the neck was digging in that much it was hurting. The cause was that the fabric stretch panel above the rear hump up to the collar was not big enough and when you were in the riding position it did not have enough 'give' and was digging into the back of my neck and pulling up at the front strangling me ! Pity as I loved the fit of the suit, maybe this years models have a larger stretch panel. It may have loosened off a little with use but I couldn't risk the suit being classed as 'Used' as I could not take it back if I had flies all over it. I changed it for a Dainese Laguna Seca which I used once last year late on, tried it this year and it has shrunk !!! May have to sell it and get something that fits my belly a bit better !
I have 1 Mark size 54 6ft 1" now I wouldn't consider myself fat but boy its tight hopefully will give a bit, smart looking piece of kit though.
Necks fine .........will just have to persevere their fine on the bike though which is what you want I suppose, think you will be ok Mark but they are a snug fit on me! View attachment cadwell april 13 2014 003.jpg
I have had alpinestars for the last 6 years, the MX1 and when I wanted to upgrade 2 years ago I wanted the motegi, but I know the dealer and he told me to try both the atem and the motegi. The atem is the new MX1. tried both on and lmeft the motegi for what it was and baught the atem. Luckily I get 30% discount as the atem is one of the more expensive suits.....
