    Anyone got some?

I'm after a comfy pair of boots that aren't too tall. I've heard they're pretty much the mutt's nuts and, as a man who's known amongst his friends as Captain Scattercash, I'm considering emptying my wallet :D

I only ride on the road so I'm wondering if they're a bit overkill?

Yes I have some, the white and fluro ones so something totally different from the plain black I normally use. Fit and comfort were great for me, but I only wear them with leathers.

I actually bought a second pair as a mouse nested in my first pair and chewed the inner boot which despite looking and asking I never managed to get a replacement for.

Have a look at the gaerne gp1 or gp1 evo. Very comfortable race boot and great protection.

Best boots ever my current pair are four years old still like new and it’s like wearing a pair of slippers you can walk in them all day and no squeaking

I just got a pair of GP1 and had to return them. Just couldn't get my ankles down into them. They were taller than my current TCX and felt more rigid :(

Im a size uk9 normally, but go up half a size uk9.5 which is euro 44 and they fit perfect. Im on my 3rd pair in 15 years . Wouldn't buy any other boot . Not at all overkill for road riding .. White boots get dirty overtime but the fastest riders wear them ;) 16265954_1270944546318800_480910180973150519_n.jpeg

Personally I’ve never used it, but apparently Alpinestars have a very good repairs centre.
I’ve heard you just need to take it to your local Alpinestars stockist and they will send it off for assessment.

    No bueno

I think I need to go down a size or two as my foot feels lost inside the boot. I'm also still finding them difficult to zip up. I assume that if I go down a size or two then the boot will get less tall and won't come so far up my lower leg.

    I hate being odd-shaped :D
