I was hoping for a pointer (oww errr) on what to use instead of Itunes. Which I use to burn Music Cd's for the wifes car. Has no USB port I would like something easy to use, able to covert to MP3 for burning and able to organize my music and albums So what do you use?
Apple or Windows? I dont know anyone that uses anything other than ITunes if they have Apple Desktops. Some of my mates use "doubleTwist" as it syncs neatly between phones (Android/Windows, not sure it does ICrap) and desktop... I have the "doubleTwist" phone app, but haven't bothered looking at the desktop app... I just use Windows Media Player, as does the missus, for ripping CDs and burning MP3 CDs for the car (if that's what you're wanting to do...)
Its a bit like asking if there is an alternative to a 'Fireblade'? there is..... ...but why have second best!?
I guess it depends what functionality you're most precious about. For me personally, I want to be able to rip my CDs to MP3, and have them automatically organised and catalogued... which I have Windows Media Player setup to do. Once ripped, burning them to MP3 CDs is so simple even my misses can do it! I also use Windows Media Player as a server to provide my music collection to my PS3 over my wifi. (in short, WMP does everything I need). However, some of my more "hip" friends, who cannot stomach using boring MS software, use "doubleTwist"... I think the desktop version is free to download if you have installed the doubleTwist player on your phone (but don't quote me on that). I don't have any personal experience of what doubleTwist can and cannot do...
