Out with the boys a week past sunday.Stopped to relieve ourselves as you do.Then one of the boy bikes battery decided to die. We ll give you a push me and another mate said while getting our gear on ready to go. I just had my helmet on at the time. We bumped him,he took off and me and my mate hurtled to the deck. Ripped my hands with gravel, mate had his gloves on. Rode home in great discomfort and one of the boys came and cleaned me up 10 days with sore hands with big plasters on them. Moral of the story is,even when doing someone a favour make sure you have got all your PPE on.
Without gloves on I would not have a right hand today.I came off at 60mph on a FS1E racing an RD80 with my hand trapped under the tank.Had to go into hospital a month later with early stages of gangarine. The smell and seeing your own flesh what was left of it going yellow and green was morbid. Pictures are not great, the shiny skin is the scar which covers all of the rear of the hand.
