The first series was great, but it slowly morphed into a soap opera, and a boring, tedious, repetitive one at that... 30 seconds of bike porn wrapped up in 25 minutes of "fights" and "emotion" and "family strife".

just have to rely on stormchasers, mythbusters and seconds from disaster for my tv fix now.

Be nice if they could get better actors to recite their scripts though.

I like Cafe Racer but the format gets on my tits. They do 5 minutes on each project and then the next part is in the next programme, and the good planners at Sky TV don't understand the importance of running series in broadcast order.

Can't say I've watched American Chopper for years. As others have said I liked it at the start when it was mostly bike building and metal fab but the last time I watched it it was just an 'Mericun soap opera.

I was off work for 3 months in 2006 after a cancer op and I watched every episode. It really cheered me up but over the last 3 years its became stupid mainly after Vinny left. Its now all about the them and not the bikes, sad really as it use to be a good laugh.

I liked that you were seeing two bikes being built each week.
Vinny and juniors bikes were the best every time .
